Introducing The Eastern Reaches

A note from the Recorder

Every archive needs a door, and ours opens onto the Eastern Reaches — fox-fire and moon-hare, dragon and river spirit, the stories that travelled east along long roads and longer memories.

We chose this ground to lead with because so much of it survives in the open: a shrine beside a train platform, a fox glimpsed at the edge of a car park, an old rite still kept without anyone quite explaining why. Folklore that has not gone quiet, only quieter — filed here as twelve findings, with more being recorded.

This is the first collection we're asking members to properly meet. The rest of the map is already filed and waiting, and it will follow in its own time.
